he “Right to Be a Girl” project aims to prevent child and early marriages in 10 villages of Choraut Block, Sitamarhi District, targeting 500 adolescent girls. The project focuses on empowering girls through training on Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) and life skills, strengthening school management to ensure consistent attendance and support for dropouts, forming and building the capacity of Child Protection Committees to monitor at-risk girls, and engaging community leaders, PRI members, and faith-based leaders to mobilize against early marriages. This initiative seeks to create a safe environment, allowing girls to enjoy their childhood and education, free from early marriage pressures.
