Promoting Better Health, Healthy Behaviours and Equal Access to Care
The Health, Wellness & Equity Project works with communities to improve awareness, encourage healthy behaviours and make essential health information and support more accessible to people.
The project takes a community-based approach, bringing together families, schools, frontline workers, Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and local stakeholders to address common health concerns and promote healthier lifestyles.

What We Do
- Conduct community awareness and behaviour change activities.
- Promote health screening and timely referral for people who need further care.
- Conduct school-based health education.
- Promote personal hygiene and healthy nutrition practices.
- Create awareness on prevention and management of non-communicable diseases (NCDs).
- Engage with Self-Help Groups, Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) and frontline workers.
- Encourage communities to take an active role in improving their own health.
Our Approach
The project focuses on prevention and early action. By working directly with communities and local stakeholders, BVHA helps people gain practical knowledge and make healthier choices in their everyday lives.
