Prior to the camps, BVHA performs community mobilization activities and awareness campaigns. To identify cataract patients or patients with refractive errors, various screening camps are organized. Patients who have been identified are transported to the base hospital, where cataract surgeries are performed in accordance with protocol and safety considerations. They are taken back to their house after surgery. Follow-up of post-surgery is also an important part of the project. Nine hundred families have benefited from this project.
