The purpose of the project is to identify anaemia among 300 pregnant and lactating women, 300 adolescent girls and screening of malnutrition among 400 children under 5 years in 30 villages of Hathua Block of Gopalganj District. The major strategies are identifying anaemic women and girls through blood test and then provide appropriate counselling, community mobilization and awareness on anaemia and referral of critical cases. Screening of malnourished children is being done through weighing and MUAC measurement, maintain growth monitoring and counselling of mothers and caregivers of the children on appropriate child feeding practices and referral cases for SAM children to nearest NRC.
