Bihar Voluntary Health Association is a voluntary organization with a vision to facilitate the process which leads to empowerment and development of marginalized communities.

Founded in 1969, BVHA is making efforts to bring about sustainable changes for betterment in lives of communities. The organization adopts strategies of development, reforms and advocacy. During all these years it has touched hearts of thousands of people, solved their problems and evolved leaders amongst them. It has several achievements to its credit.

BVHA feels that a voluntary organization must have an active and resourceful citizen base for continuing a difference. As BVHA’s resources are limited, the role of volunteerism becomes critical to attain planned goal. Several volunteers have played important and critical roles in past for the causes that BVHA is working for. These volunteers have come from diverse backgrounds. All of volunteers associated with BVHA have enriching experiences. BVHA maintains regular communication with the volunteers who have contributed to the organisation.

Anyone can volunteer for BVHA. It is indeed immaterial if prospective volunteer is a student, a teacher, a professional, a social scientist or a housewife. Education or degree of prospective volunteer is also immaterial. What matters is the presence of the spirit of volunteerism in the person.
